Appointment & Hospital Policies
We want visits to Ocean Animal Hospital to be as smooth and safe as possible for pets, clients, and our team. The following policies help us keep appointments running efficiently and maintain a comfortable environment for everyone.
Vaccination Policy
For the safety of all animals in our care, pets should be current on their vaccinations, or at minimum have a current rabies vaccination. If your pet is not current on rabies vaccination, our veterinary team may administer it during the visit if your pet is healthy enough to receive it.
Appointments
During the week, we operate primarily by appointment so we can allow appropriate time for scheduled patients and surgical procedures. If your pet needs prompt attention, please call us at (321) 406-1618 so our team can help determine the best next step.
Drop-Off Appointments
Drop-off appointments may be available for your convenience. In most cases, we’ll ask you to bring your pet in during the morning so our veterinary team can examine them between scheduled appointments or during time reserved for admitted patients.
Once your pet has been evaluated, a team member will contact you to discuss findings, recommendations, and pickup arrangements.
Patient Arrival Policy
Even friendly pets can feel uneasy around unfamiliar people, surroundings, or other animals. For everyone’s safety, please keep dogs on a short leash or securely contained in a carrier. Cats should arrive in a secure carrier.
